본 발명은 채널 자동 선국시 채널 중복 방지 방법에 관한 것으로서, 이를 위하여, 자동 채널 선국시 수신되는 영상 신호의 세기를 일정하게 유지하기 위한 자동 이득 조정 신호를 이용하여 동일한 방송신호가 중복되어 선국되는 것을 방지하는 방법으로, 자동 채널 선국이 종료되면 선국된 각 채널을 상호 비교하여 국부 발진 주파수가 동일한 채널이 있는지 체크하는 과정과; 상기 체크 과정에서 국부 발진 주파수가 동일한 채널이 있으면 두채널의 상기 자동 이득 조정 신호의 세기를 비교하는 과정과; 상기 비교 과정에서 자동 이득 조정 신호의 세기가 큰 채널과 작은 채널을 구분하여 디스플레이하고, 자동 이득 조정 신호의 세기가 같을 경우 채널과 채널 대역을 디스플레이하는 과정과; 상기 선국된 채널중 사용자가 선택한 채널을 지우고 채널 비교가 종로될 때까지 상기 채널 비교 과정과; 상기 선국된 채널중 사용자가 선택한 선택한 채널을 지우고 채널 비교가 종료될 때까지 상기 채널 비교 과정을 반복하는 과정을 포함하는 채널 자동 선국시 채널 중복 방지 방법을 제공하므로서, 채널 중복을 방지한 것이다.(선택도 : 제2도)The present invention relates to a method of preventing channel duplication during automatic channel tuning.
