본 발명은 비디오 카세트 레코더의 전원 온시 선택적으로 TV 또는VCR모드로 전환할 수 있도록 한 비디오 카세트 레코더의 전원 온시 자동 모드 설정 방법에 관한 것으로서, 이를 위하여, 비디오 카세트 레코더의 전원이 온되는 경우에 VCR/TV 모드를 선택적으로 자동 설정하기 위한 방법으로서, 사용자의 키조작에 의거한 설정된 예약 시작 시각에 도달되는지를 감지하는 과정；사용자로부터 전원 온/오프를 위한 전원 키신호가 입력되는지를 감지하는 과정；상기 예약 시작 시각이 되거나 상기 전원 키신호가 입력되면 현재 전원 상태를 온시키는 과정；전원 온 상태인 경우에 상기 전원 키신호에 기인하는 전원 온 상태이면 VCR 모드로 설정하고, 예약 녹화에 기인하는 전원 온 상태이면 TV 모드로 설정하는 과정을 포함하는 비디오 카세트 레코더의 전원 온시자동 모드 설정 방법을 제공하여 사용자가 일일이 상황에 따라 모드를 전환시키는 불편함을 해소하기 위한 것이다.The present invention relates to a method of automatically setting a video cassette recorder when the video cassette recorder is switched on to a TV or VCR mode when the video cassette recorder is powered on.
