본 발명은 저조도 촬영시 자동게인 콘트롤(Auto Gain Control)을 거쳐 입력되는 오토 포커스 데이타를 자동 게인 콘트롤의 변화와 관계없는 오토 포커스 데이타로 보상하여 정확하고 신속하게 오토 포커스를 조정할수 있도록 하는 저조도 촬영시 오토 포커스 데이타 보상 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명은 캠코더의 조리개를 닫은 상태에서 자동 게인 콘트롤을 최소로 하여 오토 포커스 데이타를 읽는 노이즈 최소값 검출 단계와, 조리개를 닫은 상태에서 자동 게인 콘트롤을 최대로 하여 오토 포커스 데이타를 읽는 노이즈 최대값 검출 단계와, 조리개를 열어 현재의 자동 게인 콘트롤값을 읽는 단계와, 상기 단계에서 읽혀진 값을 이용하여 현재 오토 포커스 데이타중의 노이즈량을 구하는 현재 노이즈 검출 단계와, 읽혀진 데이타를 이용하여 자동 게인 콘트롤과 관련 없는 오토 포커스 데이타를 구하는 보상 데이타 검출 단계를 수행 시킴으로써 이루어진다.The present invention compensates the auto focus data input via the auto gain control during low light shooting with auto focus data irrelevant to the change of the auto gain control, so that the auto focus can be adjusted accurately and quickly.
