본 발명은 광전송 시스템에서 광수신부의 임계전압을 결정하기 위하여 부분 샘플링방식과 표준편차 계산을 통하여 최적의 임계전압을 결정하기 위한 방법 및 그 장치에 관한 것으로 특히, 온신호의 평균과 오프신호의 평균을 산출하는 제1과정과, 광섬유를 통하여 전송받은 광신호를 전기신호로 변환하여 정형화하는 제2과정과, 상기 제2과정에서 정형화되어진 신호와 상기 제1과정에서 산출되어진 평균치를 비교하여 상기 제2과정에서 정형화되어진 신호를 온신호 또는 오프신호로 분류하는 제3과정과, 상기 제3과정에서 분류되어진 신호를 각각 해당 분류에 따라 신호의 잡음 분산을 계산하는 제4과정 및 상기 제4과정에서 계산되어진 각각의 잡음분산을 제곱근으로 변환하여 임계전압을 산출하는 제5과정을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광수신부의 최적 임계전압 결정 방법 및 그에 따른 장치를 제공하여 광전송 시스템의 전송품질을 향상하는 효과가 있다.The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for determining an optimal threshold voltage through a partial sampling method and a standard deviation calculation for determining the threshold voltage of an optical receiver in an optical transmission system.
