본 발명은 디지털 브이씨알의 변속 재생 방법에 관한 것으로, 일반적으로 MPEG2 방식에 의한 디지털 입축 비디오의 재생에서 가장 큰 문제점은 픽쳐(picture)간 에측을 수행하여 차픽쳐(picture)만을 부호화하기 때문에 한 픽쳐(picture)분의 데이타로는 I-픽쳐(picture)를 제외하고는 원픽쳐(picture)을 복원할 수 없을 뿐 아니라, 가변길이 부호화와 픽쳐(picture) 부호화 타입에 따르는 픽쳐(picture)간 발생 비트량의 큰 차이로 인하여 랜덤 억세스가 가능하지 않은 테이프의 경우 고속의 특수재생의 구현에는 많은 어려움이 수반되고 있다. 이러한 점을 해결하기 위하여 본 발명은 MPEG2 에 준하여 부호화된 비트열에서 I-프레임을 포함하는 GOP를 검출하여 그 길이를 추정함에 의해 정속 재생 구간에서 다음의 변속구간에서 스킵할 트랙의 수를 정확하게 추정하므로써 스킵 후 안정적으로 I-픽쳐(picture)을 재생하도록 창안한 것으로,본 발명은 GOP 발생 비트량이 어느 정도 일정함을 이용하여 변속 재생시 GOP의 길이를 추출하여 스킵 및 정속 재생 구간을 산출하므로써 테이프와 같은 순차적 억세스 저장 매체에서 특수 재생을 안정되게 수행할 수 있는 효과가 있다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1.
