본 발명은 사용자의 맥박수와 혈압을 측정하여 이를 표시함은 물론, 측정된 혈압에 따라 실내로 토출되는 풍량을 조절하여 최적의 냉난방운전을 제어하는 공기조화기의 운전제어장치 및 그 방법에 관한 것으로써, 공기조화기에 있어서, 심장의 수축시에 변화하는 맥박을 감지하는 맥박감지수단과, 심장의 수축시에 발생하는 심전위의 맥박전달시간을 감지하는 심전위감지수단과, 상기 심전위감지수단에 의해 감지된 맥박전달시간 및 상기 맥박감지수단에 의해 감지된 맥박에 따라 혈압 및 맥박수를 측정하여 전체동작을 제어하는 제어수단과, 상기 제어수단에서 측정된 혈압에 따라 실내로 토출되는 풍량을 조절하도록 실내팬을 구동제어하는 실내팬모터구동수단과, 상기 제어수단의 제어에 의한 실내팬의 회전속도에 따라 결정된 운전주파수로 압축기를 구동제어하는 압축기구동수단과, 상기 제어수단에서 측정된 혈압 및 맥박수를 표시하는 표시수단으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 한다.The present invention relates to an operation control apparatus and method for controlling an air conditioner for controlling an optimal cooling and heating operation by measuring a user's pulse rate and blood pressure and displaying the same, as well as adjusting the amount of air discharged into the room according to the measured blood pressure.
