본 발명은 액정표시장치의 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 화소전극과 공통 전극이 형성되어 있는 하측 및 상측 액정기판의 디스플레이 영역을 정의하여 액정을 밀봉하기 위한 실패턴투명전극 패턴을 형성하고 상기 실패턴의 외곽을 감싸는 보조 실패턴을 형성한 후, 상기 보조 실패턴의 액정 주입구측을 엔드실로 막아 내부를 밀봉하고, 상기 액정기상에 칼라필터를 형성한후, 상기 엔드실과 보조 실패턴을 제거하고 셀갭의 내부에 액정을 채워 LCD를 완성였으므로, 칼라패턴에 의해 단차를 고려하지 않아도 되므로 투명전극 패턴 형성 공정이 간단하고 셀갭의 균일성이 향상되며, 칼라필터의 색표현 범위나 색순도가 향상됨은 물론 열 및 화학 약품에 의해 액정의 특성이 약화되거나 액정기판이 오염되는 등의 불량을 방지하여 고정수율 및 소자동작의 신뢰성을 향상시킬 수 있다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1.
