Abstract
칼라화상입력기기로부터 발생되는 기기종속적이며 교정되지 않은 색신호를 기기독립적이며 교정된 신호로 변환하는 색보정방법 및 이에 적합한 장치가 개시된다. 본 발명에 따른 색보정방법은 가시대역의 파장별 가중치의 중요도를 시감특성과 조명특성을 이용해 구하는 과정; 상기 파장별 가중치의 중요도를 분광반사도에 가중시켜 분광반사도, 시감특성 및 조명특성에 기초한 기저함수를 구하는 과정; 상기 분광반사도, 시감특성, 조명특성에 기초한 기저함수를 사용하여 RGB 색공간의 색신호에 대한 가중치를 구하는 과정; 및 상기 분광반사도, 시감특성, 조명특성에 기초한 기저함수를 사용하여 Weight에서 CIE XYZ로 변환할 때의 변환계수를 구하는 과정을 포함함을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명에 따른 색보정방법은 원래 화상이 갖는 색특성을 물체색 고유의 분광반사도로서 표현함으로써 보다 정확한 색재현을 실현하는 효과를 갖는다.A color correction method and apparatus suitable for converting device-dependent and uncorrected color signals generated from a color image input device into device-independent and corrected signals are disclosed.
