Abstract
본 경계검출방법 및 장치는 영상부호화시스템에 있어서, 화소의 그레이레벨에 따라 경계영역을 검출하는 임계값을 가변시킴으로써, 화소의 그레이레벨에 따라 적응적으로 경계영역을 검출하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 경계검출방법은 현재 인가되는 화소의 그레이레벨과 인접한 화소의 그레이레벨간의 차이를 계산하는 과정; 현재 인가되는 화소의 그레이레벨이 해당되는 범위를 판단하는 과정; 범위판단과정에서 판단된 결과에 따라 대응되는 소정의 임계값을 제공하는 과정; 임계값 제공과정에서 제공된 임계값을 기준으로 상기 차이계산과정에서 계산된 차이값을 비교하여 상기 현재 인가되는 화소가 경계영역에 해당되는 지를 판단하는 과정을 포함하여 수행한다.The boundary detection method and apparatus are for adaptively detecting the boundary region according to the gray level of the pixel by varying the threshold value for detecting the boundary region according to the gray level of the pixel in the image encoding system.
