Abstract

본 발명은 심리음향모델을 이용한 압축 알고리즘인 엠펙 레이어Ⅱ에서 특히 데이타 서비스를 위한 여분의 잉여 데이타(ancillary data)에 저역신호만을 할당하여 별도의 저역 전용채널을 구성하는 잉여 데이타를 이용한 저역전용채널 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 종래 데이타 압축알고리즘인 엠펙 레이어Ⅱ는 출력은 4채널이 가능하도록 되어 있지만 4채널 소스의 부족으로 전 채널을 모두 활용하지 못해 증폭기에 의존하여 저역신호를 증폭하는 방법을 사용하나 이와같은 방법은 중 저역 주파수대 신호를 효율적으로 압축하지 못하는 문제점이 있어 이를 해결코자, 데이타 서비스를 위한 잉여 데이타에 저역신호만을 할당하므로써 최근 아날로그 증폭기등에서 사용하는 서브우퍼(subwoofer)의 기능을 첨가하여 풍부한 소리를 출력할 수 있고, 또한 소스 코딩에서 중저역을 출력시켜줌으로써 기존의 앰프자체의 기능으로 만들어주는 우퍼신호에 비해 훨씬 고음질의 신호를 얻을 수 있다.In the present invention, MPEG layer II, a compression algorithm using a psychoacoustic model, allocates only low-band signals to extra ancillary data for data services, and uses a low-band-only channel system using redundant data to form a separate low-band dedicated channel.
