블레이드의 흡인부(Suction Surface)와 압력부(Pressure Surface)에 흐르는 유체 흐름속도의 최대치와 최소치를 상호 근접되도록 하여, 블레이드의 끝단부에서 발생되는 와류를 최소화시켜 유체의 손실을 감소시킴으로써, 토오크 컨버어터의 효율을 증대시킬 수 있는 자동 변속기용 토오크 컨버어터의 스테이터를 제공하는 데 그 목적이 있다.이에 따라 크랭크샤프트에 연결되어 기관의 작동과 동시에 회전되는 펌프 임펠라와, 이에 대응하여 변속기의 입력축 스플라인 결합되는 터어빈 런너와, 변속기 케이스에 고정된 스테이터 축에 일방향 클러치를 개재하여 제공되고, 상기 터어빈 런너로부터 유출되는 오일의 흐름 방향을 전환시켜 펌프 일펠라의 뒷면에 부딪치게 하여 펌프의 회전을 돕도록 그 외주면에 유선형으로 형성됨과 아울러 오일의 흐름속도가 빨라 압력이 높은 흡인부 및 오일의 흐름속도가 늦어 압력이 낮은 압력부를 보유하는 다수의 블레이드가 소정의 각도를 이루어 축방향으로 경사지게 배치된 스테이터로 이루어진 자동 변속기용 토오크 컨버어터에 있어서, 상기한 블레이드의 흡인부와 압력부를 관통하는 관통 홀이 형성되어 오일 흐름 속도의 최대치와 최소치를 상호 근접시킬 수 있도록 하여 블레이드의 끝단부에서 초래되는 와류의 발생을 억제하도록 함을 특징으로 한다.Torque converter by reducing the fluid loss by minimizing the vortices generated at the tip of the blade by bringing the maximum and minimum values of the fluid flow rates flowing in the suction surface and the pressure surface of the blade close to each other.
