본 발명은 채널특성에 의해 왜곡된 신호를 등호필터링 함으로써 복원신호를 얻어내는 등화부를 적어도 두 개이상 구비하여, 한 수상기로 두가지 이상의 화면을 보여주는 피아이피(PIP:Pictur-In- Picture)기능을 갖는 고화질 티브이에 있어서 채널변경시보다 빠르고 효율적인 채널등화를 수행하기 위한 채널등화회로에 관한 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 발명은 피아이피 기능을 이용하지 않고 한 채널만을 시청하고있을 때 시청채널의 등화를 수행하는 등화회로를 제외한 다른 등화회로에서 얻어진 채널변경시 선택가능한 후보채널의 등화필터계수를 저장하기 위한 저장부와 ; 사용자에 의해 선택가능하며, 채널변경신호를 발생하는 신호발생수단과 ; 후보채널의 채널등화를 제어하며, 상기 채널변경신호에 응답하여 상기 정부에 저장된 변경채널에 대응하는 후보채널의 필터례수가 상기 등화부로 전송되도록 제어하기 위한 후보채널 선택로직 제어부를 포함한다. 따라서, 피아이피 기능이 작동되고 있는 경우를 제외하고는 동작하고 있지 않는 등화회로를 이용하여 변경가능한 채널, 즉 후보채널을 미리 등화하여 그 필터계수를 별도로 지정된 저장부에 저장해두어, 채널이 전환되거나 피아이피 기능이 개시되어 다른 채널을 보여 주어야 할 경우 보다 더 빠른 등화를 이루어 성능의 향상을 이룰 수 있게 된다.The present invention includes at least two equalizers for obtaining a reconstruction signal by equality-filtering a signal distorted by a channel characteristic, and has a PiP (Pictur-In-Picture) function for showing two or more screens with one receiver.
