Abstract

As the pressure increases, the number of current paths set through the contacts other than the branch elements increases by decreasing the resistance across the resistive layer and increasing the current flow. In other embodiments, the plurality of plate elements are included in one plane of the dielectric layer. Multiple plate elements are included in the other plane of the dielectric layer. As the layers are pushed together according to the force applied, the total capacitance measured across the plane of the plate element changes.
