본 발명의 목적은 작동유량이 적어져서 토크 컨버터를 컨버터 상태로부터 록업 상태로하기 곤란해지는 타성주행중, 록업을 금지하여 자동변속기에의 피해를 없애는데에 있다. 본 발명에 있어서, 컨트롤러(9)는, 스로틀 개방도(TH) 및 차속(V)에 따라, 솔레노이드(6,7)를 통하여 자동변속기(2)를 변속제어하는 동시에 솔레노이드(8)를 통하여 토크 컨버터(3)를 록업 제어한다. 컨트롤러(9)는 다시 토크 컨버터 입력 회전수(Ne)와, 차속(V) 및 기어 비로부터 구한 토크 컨버터 출력회전수와의 차를 근거로, 타성주행을 검지하고, 이 타성주행중에는 컨버터 영역으로부터 록업영역에의 영역이행이 있어도 토크 컨버터(3)의 록업을 금지한다.An object of the present invention is to prevent damage to an automatic transmission by prohibiting lockup during inertia driving, where the operating flow rate becomes small, making it difficult to bring the torque converter from the converter state to the lockup state.
