Abstract

The solvent having excellent detergency and stability for dry cleaning is composed of 95.5-97.6 wt% normal paraffin having a number of carbons, 8-10, 0.4-1.0 wt% nonylphenol ethoxylate and 2.0-3.5 wt% 3-methyl-3-methoxybutanol. This normal paraffin based solvent decomposes easily the underground bacteria and activated sludge, compared with petroleum based solvents, because of its good distillation property. And minimizing the number of noxious aromatic hydrocarbon, this solvent is not harmful for the human body in handling.
