Abstract
광원으로부터 발산되는 광빔을 단면이 진원인 동시에 광축에 평행한 평행빔으로 정형하는 빔정형 콜리메이터(beam shaping collimator)가 개시되어 있다. 개시된 콜리메이터는 입사하는 빔의 단면을 타원에서 원형으로 정형하는 기능과 그 정형된 원형의 빔을 평행하게 출사시키는 두 가지 기능을 발휘한다. 이를 위하여 수직 및 수평방향으로 굴절률이 다르게 설계되는 입사면과 출사면을 가진다. 그 입사면과 출사면의 곡률반경은 입사하는 빔의 발산각과 이에 따른 수직 및 수평 방향의 각 촛점거리에 따라 결정된다. 두가지 기능을 동시에 발휘하므로 빔정형 및 평행빔을 위한 광학장치의 원가절감 등에 기여한다. <제 7 도 (가)(나)>A beam shaping collimator is disclosed for shaping a light beam emitted from a light source into a parallel beam parallel to the optical axis while having a circular cross section.
