Abstract
본 발명은 영상 압축 및 신장방법과 그 장치에 관한 것으로, 벡터양자화와 오차신호의 선형양자화 및 가변길이 부호화에 의해 얻어지는 고정길이인 주소데이타와 가변길이의 부호화 데이타를 테이프에 교대로 기록하거나 상기에 같이 기록된 신호를 복원하는 방법과 장치를 제공하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 발명의 방법은 이산여현변환과정과, 벡터양자화과정과, 선형양자화과정과, 가변길이 부호화과정과, 데이타출력과정으로 구성되며, 본 발명의 압축 부호화장치는 이산여현변환수단과, 코드북과, 코드북에 저장된 벡터를 선택하는 벡터선택수단과, 이산여현변환계수와 선택된 상기 벡터간의 오차계수를 산출하는 오차산출수단과, 상기 오차계수를 선형양자화는 선형양자화수단과, 가변길이 부호화수단과, 고정길이인 상기 주소 데이타와 가변길이인 상기 부호화 데이타를 교대로 선택하여 일렬로 출력하는 선택출력수단으로 구성된다. 본 발명을 정상재생시는 물론이거니와 특히 고속재생시 양질의 화질을 얻을 수 있으며, 벡터양자화에 의한 주소데이타를 일 출력값으로 하므로 제어가 간단하며, 실시에 필요한 장치 또한 보다 간단해지는 효과가 있다.The present invention relates to a video compression and decompression method and apparatus therefor, wherein address data and variable length encoded data, which are fixed lengths obtained by vector quantization, linear quantization of error signals, and variable length coding, are alternately recorded on a tape or It is an object of the present invention to provide a method and apparatus for recovering a signal recorded together.
