복합비디오 신호에서 휘도신호레벨을 검출하여 화상의 밝기를 조정하고 수평방향의 고역성분과 수직방향의 상관량을 검출하여 화질의 섬세함을 조정하며 비디오신호의 포락선을 검출하여 신호대잡음비를 향상시키는 자동화질보상수단을 구비한 비디오 기기의 화질비교장치가 기술되는바, 인는 비디오 신호로부터 수평동기신호와 수직동기신호를 분리하기 위한 동기신호분리수단; 수평동기신호를 입력받아 동일화면내에서 퍼지화면을 표시하는 제 1 화면과 일반화면을 표시하는 제 2화면을 수평방향을 분리하는 신호를 발생하기 위한 수직바 발생수단; 수직동기신호를 입력받아 동일화면내에서 퍼지화면표시용 제 1화면과 일반화면표시용 제 2화면을 수직방향으로 분리하는 신호를 발생하기 위한 수평바 발생수단; 수직바 발생수단 또는 수평바 발생수단에서 각각 발생된 신호를 비디오 신호에 중첩시켜 제1화면과 제2화면을 구별토록한 혼합수단으로 구성시켜 동일하면내에서 퍼지화면과 일반화면을 비교하도록 한다.Automated quality that adjusts image brightness by detecting luminance signal level in composite video signal, adjusts fineness of image by detecting high frequency component in horizontal direction and correlation amount in vertical direction, and improves signal-to-noise ratio by detecting envelope of video signal.
