Abstract

본 발명은 병렬형 일정출력 전열선 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 보다 구체적으로는 종래의 니크롬선과 더불어 특히 PTC(정온도계수 저항)특성을 가지는 고분자재료를 이용하여, 고온에서 니크롬선에 공급되는 전원을 차단하도록 함으로써 과열을 방지하여 각장 사고상화에서도 안전하도록 근본적인 안전성을 부여한 전열선 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 병렬형 일정출력 전열선은 도체와 니크롬선 사이가 도체, 도전성 접착제, PTC 특성을 갖는 PTC 고분자시트, 니크롬선의 순으로 연결됨으로써, 전류가 PTC 고분자재료를 통하여 니크롬선에 공급되는 형태로 구성된 것이며, 또한 본 발명의 제품의 제조공정은, 도체를 절연체와 함께 압출 성형하고, 접속부를 만들기 위하여 절연체를 탈피하여 도체가 외부에 노출되도록 한 후, 접속부에 도전성 접착체를 도포하고, PTC 고분자시트를 접속부상에 부착하고나서, 절연튜브를 PTC 고분자시트위에 씌운 후, 니크롬선을 케이블위에 일정한 피치로 감고, 니크롬선과 PTC 고분자시트와의 접촉부분에 도전성 접착제를 도포한 후에, 외부와의 절연을 위한 절연쟈켓을 압출하는 단계들로 구성된다. 이와같이 구성된 본 발명의 병렬형 일정출력 전열선은 각 가열영역에서 PTC 고분자 물질과 니크롬선의 직렬연결한 구조를 가지므로, 전열선의 온도가 PTC 고분자 용융온도정도로 상승하면, PTC 고분자 시트의 저항이 급격히 증가하여 니크롬선에 공급되는 전원을 차단하므로 더 이상의 발열을 방지할 수 있다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1.
