Abstract
본 발명은 프린터 자체에서 용지의 폭과 용지 유, 무를 감지하고 그 감지된 결과에 준하여 인자영역을 자동적으로 설정해줄수 있도록 한 프린터의 인자영역 설정장치와 그 방법에 관한 것으로 종래의 프린터에서는 프린터를 사용자가 사용할때 용지의 폭과 급지위치에 따라 플래튼상에 인자하게 되는 에러발생과, 이에따른 플래튼 및 헤드의 손상이 초래되었고, 이와같은 에러를 배제시키려면 사용자가 일일이 용지폭을 감안한 인자영역 선정작업을 수행해야 되는 불편함이 있으며, 용지를 감지하는 센서가 플래튼의 후방에 위치하기 때문에 용지급지와 배출 및 인자에 관련된 이송기능 구현에 어려움이 수반되는 문제점을 해결하기 위한 것이다.The present invention relates to a printing area setting device and a method for detecting the width of the paper and the presence or absence of the paper in the printer itself and automatically set the printing area based on the detected result.
