Abstract

본 발명은 이미지 스캐너(image scanner), 팩시밀리(facsimile), 디지털복사기(digital copier)등의 화상독취장치를 통하여 입력하고자 하는 화상에 대하여 농담레벨을 갖는 화상(gray-tone image)의 경우에는 휘도(brightness)와 콘트라스트(contrast)를 2진화상(binary image)의 경우에는 임계치(threshold)가 최적값이 되도록 선정함으로써 입력되는 화상의 정보특성에 부합되도록 하는 적응형 화상 조정장치이다.The present invention provides a luminance (gray) tone in the case of an image having a light and dark level with respect to an image to be input through an image reading apparatus such as an image scanner, facsimile, digital copier, or the like.
