Abstract

This is a new detoxified briquet which is made with gas neutralizing agent in the commercial anthracite. The pref. gas neutralizing agent is composed of diamine lauryl sulfonate (C38H68O9N4S3H2O) and sodium chloride. The manufacturing method comprises: (A) mixing and dissolving sodium chloride and diamine lauryl sulfonate in the water; (B) adding the product from (A) in the anthracite; and (C) making briquets by the traditional method. The neutralizing effect of carbon monoxide comes out about a week after making briquets.
