Claims (9)
- 플루토늄의 동위 원소 조성물의 종류에 관계없이 전체 중성자 방출과 그 화합물을 단독으로 측정함으로 구성됨을 특징으로 하는 폐기물에 포함된 플루토늄 질량을 계산하고 용적 및/또는 비방사능(specipic activity)을 측정하기 위한 방법.
- 상기 폐기물에 의해 방출된 그들의 근원물의 종류에 관계없이, 모든 중성자들을 검출할 수 있는 적어도 하나 이상의 검출기를 구비하며, 상기 폐기물의 어떤 위치가 거의 일정한 입체각 하에 상기 검출기를 볼 수 있고 스케일러가 검출기에 의해 수신된 중성자들을 계수하기 위해 상기 검출기의 출력 단자에 연결되는 방법으로 상기 검출기들이 배열됨을 특징으로 하는 폐기물에 포함된 플루토늄 질량을 계산하고, 용적 및/또는 비방사능을 측정하기 위한 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 장치가 상기 폐기물이 상기 검출기들에 의해 나타나는 조건하에 있는 입체각들의 합이 거의 일정하고, 상기 스케일러는 상기 검출기들의 출력 단자에 연결되는 방법으로 배열된 복수의 검출기들을 구비함을 특징으로 하는 폐기물에 포함된 플루토늄 질량을 계산하고, 용적 및/또는 비방사능을 측정하기 위한 장치.
- 제5 또는 6항에 있어서, 상기 스케일러는 소정의 시주기를 계수할 수 있는 계수기를 구비함을 특징으로 하는 폐기물에 포함된 플루토늄 질량을 계산하고, 용적 및/또는 비방사능을 측정하기 위한 장치.
- 제5 또는 6항에 있어서, 각 검출기는 중성자 감속벽에 의해 전체 또는 부분적으로 둘러싸여 있음을 특징으로 하는 폐기물에 포함된 플루토늄 질량을 계산하고, 용적 및/또는 비방사능을 측정하기 위한 장치.
- 제7항에 있어서, 경수(light water)원자로의 연소 폐기물내의 플루토늄 질량을 계산하고, 용적 및/또는 비방사능을 측정하는데 상기 방법이 응용됨을 특징으로 하는 폐기물에 포함된 플루토늄 질량을 계산하고, 용적 및/또는 비방사능을 측정하기 위한 장치.
