Claims (13)

An agent for protecting crops against phytotoxic secondary effects of herbicides, which comprises a compound of formula (I) in admixture with herbicides. Wherein R ₁ is (C ₁ -C ₆ ) -alkyl, (C ₁ -C ₃ ) -alkoxy- (C ₁ -C ₃ ) -alkyl, cyano- (C ₁ -C ₃ ) -alkyl: (C Aryl which may be mono- or polysubstituted by _1- C ₄ ) -alkyl, halogen, (C ₁ -C ₃ ) -haloalkyl, (C ₁ -C ₄ ) -alkoxy, phenyl, phenoxy or nitro, or Aryl- (C ₁ -C ₃ ) -alkyl or aryloxy- (C ₁ -C ₃ ) -alkyl, wherein the aryl radicals are in each case (C ₁ -C ₄ ) -alkyl, halogen, (C _1- C ₃ ) -haloalkyl, (C ₁ -C ₃ ) -haloalkoxy, (C ₁ -C ₄ ) -alkoxy, mono- or polysubstituted by alkoxy, aloyl, arylthio or nitro), or pyridyl R ₂ is halogen or (C ₁ -C ₄ ) -alkyl, X is oxygen or sulfur, Y is oxygen or sulfur, and R ₃ is mono-substituted by halogen or (C ₁ -C ₄ ) -alkoxy Or polysubstituted (C ₁ -C ₁₈ ) -acyl, (C ₂ -C ₄ ) -alkenyl, (C ₄ -C ₈ ) -cycloalkyl: (C ₁ -C ₃ ) -alkyl, halogen , (C ₁ -C ₃₎ - alkoxy (C ₁ -C ₃₎ - haloalkyl, (C ₁ -C ₃₎ - yl substituted by a haloalkoxy or nitro, or is aryl which may be substituted, or aryl - (C ₁ -C ₃₎ - alkyl or aryl oxy-alkyl (wherein the aryl moiety may be substituted by halogen or nitro in each _{case) - (C 1 -C 3)} .
