Claims (40)

The method of claim 2, wherein said polymer-modified acrylic resin latex contains an acrylic polymer in which reactive groups are produced in the presence of a catalyst. The method of claim 6, wherein said reactive group is an epoxide group. The method of claim 6, wherein the reactive group crosslinks the acrylic polymer. 8. The process of claim 7, wherein the catalyst is a basic catalyst. 8. The method of claim 7, wherein said catalyst is sodium carbonate hydrate. The method of claim 10 wherein the sodium carbonate 1.5 hydrate comprises about 1 to 5 weight percent of the modified acrylic resin latex. A composite flooring comprising (1) an old flooring firmly attached to the floor, (2) a new flooring material, and (3) a leveling composition sandwiched and cured between the old flooring material and the new flooring material. 18. The composite flooring of Claim 19, wherein said polymeric modified cement comprises an inorganic component selected from a hydrate or gypsum cement in a high hydrate mold. 20. The composite flooring of Claim 19, wherein the modified acrylic resin latex contains an acrylic polymer in which reactive groups are produced in the presence of a catalyst. 24. The composite flooring of Claim 23, wherein the long term reactive group is an epoxide group.
