제1도 및 제2도는 평탄하기 않은 접합면을 가지는 종래의 지지식 다결정 다이아몬드 또는 등방정계 질화붕소 성형체와, 이러한 비평탄면을 가진 완제품 성형체에 대하여 거울상을 이루는 본 발명의 탄화물 소재 표면(여기에서는 곡선형 임)을 나타내는 도면.
제3도 및 제4도는 본 발명에 의한 탄화물 소재의 원추형 거울상 표면을 나타내는 도면.

Claims (23)

  1. 표면을 가지는 다이아몬드 또는 CBN입자 소재와, 표면을 가지는 접합금속 탄화물 소재와, 다이아몬드 입자의 경우에는 필요에 따라서 다이아몬드 재결정용의 촉매를 가지며, 상기 표면들이 경계면을 형성하도록 인접 배치되어 있는 컵 어셈블리를 밀폐용기내에 위치시키는 단계와; 상기 경계면에서 접합탄화물 지지체에 고착된 성형체를 제조하기 위하여 상기 밀폐용기를 고압/고온 처리하는 단계와; 상기 지지식 성형체를 상기 밀폐용기 및 상기 컵 어셈블리로부터 회수하는 단계와; 비평탄 경계면을 나타내고 그로 인하여 실질적으로 불균일한 두께를 가지는 PCD 또는 CBN성형체를 제조하기 위하여 상기 지지식 성형체를 마무리 가공하는 단계를 포함하는 지지식 다결정 다이아몬드(PCD) 또는 등방정계 질화붕소(CBN)성형체의 제조방법에 있어서; 상기 컵 어셈블리내에 위치된 상기 탄화물 소재의 표면이, 대략 균일한 두께의 마무리 가공된 지지식 성형체를 제조할수 있도록 상기 마무리 가공된 PCD 또는 CBN 비평탄 경계면에 대하여 거울상인 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 컵 어셈블리중 적어도 2개가 상기 밀폐용기의 내측에 위치한 방법.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 지지식 성형체가 지지식 다결정 다이아몬드 성형체를 포함하는 방법.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 지지식 성형체가 지지식 등방정계 질화붕소 성형체를 포함하는 방법.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 접합금속 탄화물의 상기 금속이 텅스텐, 티탄, 탄탈 또는 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 군에서 선택된 방법.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 접합금속 탄화물이 코발트, 니켈, 철 또는 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 군에서 선택된 금속과 접합된 방법.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 고압/고온 공정이 약 50Kbar이상의 압력과 약 1300℃이상의 온도를 포함하는 방법.
  8. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 다이아몬드 재결정용의 촉매가 코발트, 니켈, 철, 루테늄, 로듐, 팔라듐, 플래티늄, 크롬, 망간, 탄탈 또는 이들의 혼합물 또는 합금으로 이루어진 군에서 선택된 방법.
  9. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 다이아몬드 또는 CBN 입자의 입경이 약 1,000미크론 이하인 방법.
  10. 제9항에 있어서, 상기 입자의 입경이 약 8미크론이하인 방법.
  11. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 지지식 PCD 또는 CBN 성형체가 원통형인 방법.
  12. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 거울상의 탄화물 소재 표면이 곡선형 또는 원추형인 방법.
  13. (a)표면을 가지는 다이아몬드 또는 CBN입자 소재와, 표면을 가지는 접합금속 탄화물소재와, 다이아몬드입자의 경우에는 필요에 따라서 다이아몬드 재결정용의 촉매를 가지며, 상기 표면들이 경계면을 형성하도록 인접배치되어 있는 컵 어셈블리를 밀폐용기내에 위치시키는 단게와; (b)상기 경계면에서 접합 탄화물 지지체에 고착된 성형체를 제조하기 위하여 상기 밀폐용기를 고압/고온 처리하는 단계와; (c)상기 지지식 성형체를 상기 밀폐용기 및 상기 컵 어셈블리로부터 회수하는 단계와; (d)상기 경계면이 C1의 형상을 가지도록 상기 지지식 성형체를 마무리 가공하는 단계를 포함하는 것으로, 경계면에서 접합금속 탄화물 지지체에 고착된 다결정 다이아몬드(PCB)또는 등방정계 질화붕소(CBN)성형체의 제조방법에 있어서; C2의 경계면 형사을 가지는 마무리 가공된 지지식 성형체를 제조하기 위한 공정중(여기서, C1과 C2는 다른 형상임), 상기 컵 어셈블리내에는, 회수 및 마무리 가공된 지지식 성형체가 C2형상의 경계면을 나타내기에 적합한 형상으로 된 경계면을 가지는 상기 입자소재 및상기 접합금속 탄화물 소재를 위치시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  14. 제13항에 있어서, 상기 컵 어셈블리중 적어도 2개가 상기 밀폐용기의 내측에 위치한 방법.
  15. 제13항에 있어서, 상기 지지식 성형체가 지지식 다결정 다이아몬드 성형체를 포함하는 방법.
  16. 제13항에 있어서, 상기 지지식 성형체가 지지식 등방정계 질화붕소 성형체를 포함하는 방법.
  17. 제13항에 있어서, 상기 접합금속 탄화물의 상기 금속이 텅스텐, 티탄 탄탈 또는 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 군에서 선택된 방법.
  18. 제17항에 있어서, 상기 접합금속 탄화물의 코발트, 니켈, 철 또는 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 군에서 선택된 금속과 접합된 방법.
  19. 제13항에 있어서, 상기 고압/고온 공정이 약 50Kbar이상의 압력과 약 1300℃이상의 온도를 포함하는 방법.
