Abstract

A disk drive apparatus comprises a plurality of recording medium (10) including first and second servo-surface (11,20) and data surfaces, first and second servo heads (13,21), data heads (12), means (14) for driving a plurality of heads (12,13,21), means for calculating position variance of the second servo head on disk surface with servo information from the first servo head and correction servo information from the second servo head, and means for controlling head driving means to reduce the off track of the data head correpsonding to position variance.
