Claims (7)
- 원통형 전극으로 구성되어 그 전극들 사이에 전기아아크가 발생되고, 그 아아크의 기부가 상기 전극들 둘레에 배치된 전기 계자 코일에 의해 회전되게끔 되어 있는 형식의 플라즈마발생기를 용광로 내에 설치해서 사용하기 위한 방법에 있어서, 적어도 플라즈마발생기의 선단 돌출부에 가장 가까이 있는 전극을 둘러싸고 있는 계자 코일이 냉각제 및 전류를 위한 접속장 치와함께 용광로 속으로 플라즈마발생기를 삽입시키기 위한 개구와 상호 협력하여 용광로의 측벽에 영구적으로 고착되어 짐을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 용광로의 측벽에 영구적으로 고착된 플라즈마발생기의 일부가 송풍구와 함께 맞추어져 있음을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제1 또는 2항에 있어서, 플라즈마발생기의 선단돌출부가 그 외측과 상호 협동하는 기밀밸브를 통과함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 용광로 내에 플라즈마발생기를 설치해서 제1항에 의한 방법을 수행할때 사용하기 위한 장치로써, 플라즈마발생기에 원통형 전극을 갖추어서 그 사이에 전기 아아크를 발생시키고, 전기 아아크의 기부가 회전되게끔 상기 전극들 둘레에 수냉된 계자 코일을 배치하고 또한 플라즈마발생기의 삽입을 위해 플라즈마 발생기의 기밀통로를 허용하는 슬루우스밸브를 용광로의 개구와 함께 배치해서, 플라즈마발생기의 선단돌출부에 하향류(down-stream) 전극을 가지며, 또한 플라즈마발생기의 아아크의 하향류 기부를 회전되도록 하는 계자코일을 용광로의 측벽에 영구적으로 고착시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제4항에 있어서, 계자코일이 송풍구와 협력하여 배치됨을 특징으로 하는 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서, 계자코일이 단일체를 형성하기 위해 송풍구와 결합됨을 특징으로 하는 장치.
