종래의 개구형 스파나에 약간의 변형을 가하고 간단한 부품을 장착함으로서 한자루의 스파나로 여러폭(幅)의 스파나의 기능을 할 수 있게 한 것인바 종래에 본 고안과 유사한 구조물이 있었으나 이는 세부적인면에서 본 고안의 대(代)할 수 없으며 또한 구조상의 미비함으로 쉽게 파괴 또는 변형, 손상되기 쉬운 공구로서의 결함을 본 고안에서는 보다 완벽을 기한 것으로 종전의 개구형 스파나중 조절가능한 렌치는 개구의 폭을 조절하기 위하여 각 평판을 개구 내부로 삽입시켰을시 평판의 높이(4)가 스파나의 폭(幅)과 일치되지 않아 두께가 아주 얇은 볼트나 넛트를 조이거나 풀을시 그 기능이 불가능 하였으나 본 고안은 평판의 높이(4)를 스파나의 두께(5)와 일치되게 하여 아주 얇은 볼트나 넛트에도 사용이 가능하여 보다 사용범위가 넓으며 또한 종래의 조절 가능한 렌치는 개구 뒷부분의 평판 조각들이 외부로 노출되어 있어 거칠게 다루어야 하는 공구의 특성으로 모아 외부충격으로 평탄이 파손 또는 변형될 소지가 있으며 또한 평판면에 凸凹등의 손상이 생겼을시 개구 내부로의 전진 후퇴가 용이하지 않은 점등이 있으나 본 고안은 각 평판을 개구 뒷부분의 공간(1)에 3면으로 안전하게 보호되어 있어 손상 및 파손될 소지가 극히 적으며 또한 공간내부로 주유(住油)를 할 수가 있어 평판의 전진후퇴를 보다 용이하게 할 수 있으며 한편 평판 뒷 부분의 돌출부위는 평판을 개구내부로 삽입시킨후 이의 고정을 위한 별도의 장치가 없이도 도면(제5도)에서와 같이 엄지나 인지로 돌출부위를 눌러 고정시키며 사용할 수 있어 보다 간편감을 주는 사용이 편리한 공구인 것이다.By adding a little deformation to the conventional opening spar and installing a simple part, it is possible to function as a spar with multiple widths with a single spar.
