본 고안은 축조식이아닌 철구조물의 단일성형물로된 턴디쉬(Tundish)용 내화댐에 관한 것이다.The present invention relates to a fireproof dam for tundish, which is a monolithic structure of a non-building steel structure.

일반적으로 알려진 연속주조장치는 턴디쉬내에 몇개의 내화댐을 축조하고 침지노즐(Immersion Nozzle)을 설치하여 래들(Ladle)에서 유입되는 용강을 정류시켜 용강중에 수반되는 비금속개재물 및 슬래그를 용강과 분리하면서 주입량을 조절주입하고 있다. 그러나 다수의 내화물을 턴디쉬내에 일일히 축조하여서되는 내화댐은 내화물의 수명이 짧아 댐으로 축조한 뒤 단 1회 사용후 폐기해야되므로 내화물의 소모에 따른 원가 상승 및 턴디쉬내에서의 정비시간지연등의 문제점이 있었다. 즉, 첨부도면 제 4 도에서의 축조식 내화댐(5)을 제 1 도의 턴디쉬(2)내에 축조하여 연속주조하게 되면 래들(1)에서 유입되는 용강(15)주입류는 턴디쉬(2)내의 웰블럭(Well Block)(3)위에 떨어져 일차 낮은댐(4)에서 비금속 개재물 및 슬래그를 부상시키고 이차댐(5')의 밑에 뚫린 용강흐름구(6')를 통하여 비중차로서 용강은 흘러가고, 비금속개재물 및 슬래그는 분리되어 잔류하므로 주형(9)에 유입되는 것을 최소로 막게되는 것이었다. 이때 이차댐(5')은 통상 내화물을 축조한 것으로 그수명이 단일회의 사용후 폐기되는 문제점이 있었던 것이다. 뿐만 아니라 폐기시의 정비시간은 물론, 다시 축조할 경우의 축조시간이 지연되며 재축조할 때마다 소모되는 내화물의 소모에 따른 원가상승의 문제점도 있었다.Generally known continuous casting apparatus constructs several refractory dams in tundish and installs Immersion Nozzle to rectify molten steel flowing from ladle to separate non-metallic inclusions and slag accompanying molten steel from molten steel.
