종래의 전원 자동차단 회로는 별도 설치된 동기신호 발생기에서 동기신호를 발생시켜 그 동기신호를 이용하는 것이 있었으나 트랜스포머와 다수의 복잡한 회로소자로 구성되기 때문에 제작원가가 높을 뿐만 아니라, 플라이백 펄스차에 의해 생기는 에러로 계기의 오동작이 많않으며, 또한 다른 자동차단장치는 튜너로부터 자동이득 제어회로(AGC)의 전압을 이용하여 트랜지스터를 동작시켜 포토커플러를 작동시켜 TV전원을 차단하는 회로가 있으나, 자동이득제어회로의 전압 안출과정에서 정확하게 회로를 동작시키는 인출전압의 전위가 일정하지 않으므로 오동작이 많으며, 불규칙적이고 많은 전류가 흐르므로, 포터커플러의 사용이 실용상 많은 문제점을 내재하고 있을뿐 아니라 고가의 포토커플러의 사용에 따른 원가상승등의 폐단이 있었다.Conventional power supply shut-off circuits generate synchronization signals from a separately installed synchronization signal generator and use the synchronization signals.
