본 고안은 해태 양식용 망사의 개량에 관하 것이며, 특히 포자의 접촉 효율을 높여 번식을 촉진시킬 수 있는 구조의 소사로된 망사에 관한 것이다.
해를 거듭할수록 해태 양식 면적이 늘어가는 추세에도 불구하고 아직도 해결하지 못한 문제가 남아있다. 해태 양식에 있어서 없어서는 아니될 어구인 망사의 질적 향상이 바로 그것이다.
인공 채묘의 방법으로 해태를 양식하는데에는 무엇보다도 망사의 선택이 그 성패를 좌우한다. 이러한 망사의 절대 조건은 포자 부착의 효율성이다.
예로부터 흡수율이 클수록 포자부작착성이 우수하다고 알려져 있다. 또, 포자 부착성은 망사의 표면과 물방울(해수)이 이루는 접촉각(제4도의 θ)에 크게 좌우되기도 한다. 발표된 연구결과에 따르면, 포자 부착성을 높이기 위해서는 접촉각이 작은 반면 흡수율은 높은 재질이 요구되고 있다.
또 하나의 조건은 발아된 후에 오물이나 청태(靑苔), 잡조류등의 부착을 막기 위해 건조성이 양호해야하며, 파랑에도 충문히 견뎌낼 정도로 강도 높은 재질과 채취시 북대기가 일지 않는 것이어야 한다. 그러나 천연섬유질로 된 망사는 합성수지제에 비해 이 같은 성질이 뒤지므로 양식 수율도 낮고 질적으로도 떨어질 수 밖에 없다.
이러한 점에서 합성수지 망사는 천연섬유사의 결점이 일부 보완되기는 하였지만, 해태 양식용 망사에 적합한 국산개발품이 없어 이를 외국산 수입에 의존하고 있다는게 문제이다. 귀중한 외화를 들여 수입해야 한다는 현실이 안타깝기도 하고 보다 큰 문제는 적기에 공급되지 않음으로써 해태양식에 차질을 가져오는 경우가 많다는 점이다.
그러나 수입산 망사는 전량이 합성수지제로서 앞에서 지적되 바와 같은 결점 즉, 물방울의 접촉각이 크고 흡수율이 낮아 해태의 번식에 비효과적이어서 그 이상으로 수율을 높일 수가 없었다.
본 고안자는 바로 이점에 깊은 관심을 갖고 연구실험한 결과 합성수지제 망사로서 포자의 접촉 번식율이 대단히 높고 건조성 등이 우수하여 해태의 수율을 증대시킬 수 있는 새로운 소사로 된 망사를 고안하게 되었다.
이것을 첨부된 그림을 보면서 설명하면, 망사(1)이 구성 요소인 소사(2)는 제2도에 상세히 나타난 바와 같이, 표면을 요철 가공하여 길이 방향의 요부(3)와 철부(4)를 부여하고, 원료 합성과정에서 합성수지(5)를 주재로 하고 여기에 폐분(貝粉), 골분(骨粉), 죽분(竹粉)등의 천연 물질 입자(6)를 배합하였다.
상기 요철부(3)(4)는 일차로 방사형 압출공을 가진 다이스를 통과하므로서 형성된다.
2차 공정은 아직 굳어지기전의 소사에 상기한 천연 물질 분쇄물을 표면에 골고루 부착토록 한다.
여기서 생산된 소사는 냉각수를 통과하여 일차, 이차 연신을 거쳐 질긴 소사가 되고 이 소사를 합사하여 본 고안의 해태 망사를 이루게 된다.
천연물질의 입자(6)은 그 조직속에 미세한 기공을 다수 갖고 있어서 10-20μ정도의 크기로 된 해태포자가 접착 번식하기 가장 좋다.
그리고 상기 입자(6)는 소사(2)의 표면의 집중되는 것이 수율 증대에 바람직하며, 파랑에 의한 해수와 망사간의 마찰로 인하여 소사(2)의 표면이 다소 마멸되는 경우에는 내부에 미립된 입자(6)들이 겉으로 나타나므로 포자의 접착 번식에는 별 영향을 주지 않고 계속 사용할 수 있게 된다.
또, 소사(2)에 있어서 철부(4) 사이의 요부(3)에는 제3도에 보는바와 같이 물방울(7)은 모세관 현상 및 표면 장력의 작용에도 불구하고 작은 접촉각으로 확실하고 안정되게 부착되므로써 물방울속에 부유된 해태 포자가 소사(2)의 표면에 접착하는데 특히 적합하다.
한편으로 원료 배합과 방시 및 다이스 가공시에 천연물질의 입자(6)가 소사(2)의 일부분에 편중되거나 혹은 불균일하게 분포되는 것을 염려하여 다이스 가공후 원료 배합시에 준비해 둔 다른 천연물질의 입자를 소사(2)의 표면에 부착시킬 수도 있다.
이상과 같은 본 고안의 해태 양식용 망사로 구성하는 소사의 표면이 요철을 이루고 있어 물방울의 부착이 안정되고 또한 확실하고 또한 다공성 조직을 가진 천연물질의 입자들에 의해서 포자가 견고하게 접촉되므로 망사가 파랑에 일렁거리거나 혹은 해수면 위로 노출되더라도 접착된 포자가 떨어져 나가는 일이 극히 적기 때문에 높은 해태 양식 수율을 얻을 수 있다.
