일반적으로 다회선 상호 동시통화 장치는 경찰서와 파출소 혹은 구청과 동사무소 사이에 업무 지령이나 사무 연락을 공동처리하기 위하여 사용하는 것으로 종래에는 다회선의 병렬 접속시 임피던스의 부정합에 의한 음성 신호의 손실을 보충하기 위하여 제1도와 같이 4조의 권선으로된 하이브리드 트랜스(HT1, HT2, HT3, …, HTn)의 2차 송신측(T1, T2, T3, …, Tn)에 (n-1)조의 증폭기를 병렬 접속하여 각각의 출력을 자국(自局)이외의 2차 수신측(R1, R2, R3, …Rn)에 연결하게 된 하이브리드 방식의 회로를 사용하고 있었으나 회선의 수가 증가함에 따라 증폭기의 수가 기하급수적으로 증가하여 장치가 대단히 복잡하게 되며 또한 하울링 현상이 일어나기 쉽고 선로에 낙뢰나 이상 고압이 인가되면 간단히 소손되는 결점이 있었다.In general, a multi-line simultaneous call device is used to co-process business orders or office communications between the police station and police box, or the ward office and the government office.
