Abstract

The present invention relates to an impeller assembly, and more specifically, to an impeller assembly for a water pump, which can decrease thrust of a water pump. The impeller assembly according to the present invention comprises: an impeller having a head unit provided with a shroud, a vane, and a disc, and a body unit into which a shaft is inserted and which is extended from the lower portion of the head unit to generate rotating force; and a bush which is coupled to the inner circumferential surface of the body unit to reduce rotation friction against the shaft, and into which the shaft is inserted. At the bush, a screw is formed on the inner circumferential surface in a direction in which thrust generated upon the rotation of the impeller may be decreased. According to the present invention, a screw is formed in the bush, such that, when the bush is rotated along with the impeller, a coolant flows within the screw. Here, the screw is formed such that a load may be applied in a direction opposite to the thrust of the impeller by means of the coolant when the bush is rotated, thereby decreasing the thrust of the impeller. Therefore, friction between the impeller and the impeller cover may be reduced.

상기 샤프트와의 회전마찰을 줄이기 위하여 상기 몸통부의 내주면에 결합되어 상기 샤프트가 삽입되는 부시를 포함하며,
상기 부시는 내주면에 상기 임펠러의 회전시 발생하는 추력을 감소시킬 수 있는 방향으로 스크류가 형성되는 것을 특징으로하는 워터펌프용 임펠러 조립체.
