Abstract
인간은 졸게 되면 평상시보다 심박수가 감소하게 된다. 또한 심장이 이완할 때 혈구수가 적기 때문에 빛을 덜 흡수하게 된다. 즉, 빛을 쏘았을 때 상대적으로 혈색이 밝다. 그 반대로 심장이 수축하는 경우 혈구 수가 증가하면서 빛 흡수의 양이 많이 일어난다. 이로 인해 상대적으로 혈색이 어둡게 나타난다. 그것을 이용하여 핸들의 손가락이 닿는 부분에 LED장치와 광센서를 설치하여 손가락을 투과한 후 반사되는 빛을 분석한다. 이러한 데이터를 통해 운전자의 심박수를 체크하게 되고 운전중 운전자의 심박수가 졸고 있는 중이라 생각할 수 있을 정도로 감소하게 되면 자극을 주어 졸음운전을 예방할 수 있게 한다.
다른 방법으로는 수평 감지 센서를 통해 운전자가 직진도로를 지속적으로 달리게 되면 알람을 울리게 된다. 대부분의 졸음운전은 직진도로에서 발생하기 때문에 유의미하게 효과가 있을 것이다.

Claims (3)
- 운전자가 이동차량의 방향을 운전대를 통해 지정하는 운송수단의 운전대에 광센서가 장착되어 있는 운전대 혹은 운송수단.
- 청구항 1에 있어서 운전대 부분의 광센서에서 녹색 LED 광선을 손가락을 향해 쏘고 이때 혈구 수에 따른 반사되는 빛의 양을 광센서로 파악하여 전기적인 신호로 변환, 표시하고 일정 심박수 이하로 떨어지게 될 경우 진동, 소리 등을 통해 졸음운전을 방지할 수 있게 하는 운전대 혹은 운송수단.
- 청구항 2에 있어서 운전대에서 운전자의 손가락 부분이 잘 닿을 수 있는 운전대 뒤 혹은 안쪽 부분에 LED광선을 쏘는 장치를 가지고 있고 그 주위에 반사되어 나오는 빛을 분석할 수 있는 광센서가 장착되어 있는 운전대 혹은 운송수단.
