Abstract

The present invention relates to a coupling device with an octagonal link unit and, more specifically, to a coupling device with an octagonal link unit which improves the capability of a disk pack to handle large torque by using an octagonal link unit. The coupling device with an octagonal link unit comprises: a spacer arranged between two shafts separated from each other; a first flange coupled to the two shafts; a second flange coupled to both ends of the spacer; and a link unit having a hollow rotating sleeve unit rotatably inserted into and supported on a hollow fixed sleeve unit fixed on a stress concentration unit to be coupled to the first and second flanges. One side of the link unit is connected to the first flange and the other side is alternately connected to the second flange to result in a total of eight link units. The ends of the eight link units are overlapped with each other to be connected by bolts to connect the eight link units to each other along a virtual circle to improve torque handling capabilities.
