Hybrid Broadcast/Broadband 환경에서 QoS 보장 방법 및 시스템{Method and System for providing QoS in Hybrid Broadcasting and Broadband Network}
본 발명은 하이브리드 브로드캐스트 및 브로드밴드(Hybrid Broadcast/Broadband) 환경에서 QoS(Quality of Service) 제공을 위한 방법 및 시스템에 관한 것이다.
Hybrid Broadcast/Broadband 환경에서 QoS(Quality of Service) 보장형 서비스를 받기 위한 방법이 필요함.
본 발명은 Hybrid Broadcast/Broadband 환경에서 브로드캐스트 신호 세기(Broadcast Signal Strength)를 기준으로 QoS 보장형 서비스를 제공받을 수 있도록 하는 하이브리드 브로드캐스트 및 브로드밴드 시스템을 개발하고자 한다.
하이브리드 브로드캐스트 브로드밴드(Hybrid Broadcast/Broadband) 네트워크 환경에서 QoS(Quality of Service) 제공을 위한 방법.
본 발명의 실시예들에 따르면, 브로드캐스트 신호 세기(Broadcast Signal Strength)를 기준으로 QoS 보장형 서비스를 제공받을 수 있음에 따라, QoS 보정에 따른 비용을 최소화할 수 있다.
도 1은 본 발명의 일실시예에 있어서, 하이브리드 브로드캐스트 및 브로드밴드 네트워크 환경을 도시한 도면이다.
도 2는 본 발명의 일실시예에 있어서, QoS 보장을 위한 비디오 스트림 전송 구조를 도시한 도면이다.
이하, 본 발명의 실시 예를 첨부된 도면을 참조하여 상세하게 설명한다.
도 1은 본 발명의 일실시예에 있어서, 하이브리드 브로드캐스트 및 브로드밴드 네트워크 환경을 도시한 도면이다.
도 1을 참고하면, 하이브리드 브로드캐스트 및 브로드밴드 시스템은 브로드캐스트 신호 세기(Broadcast signal strength)를 우선 이용하되 QoS 보장 수준에 따라 브로드밴드(Broadband)로부터 필요한 대역의 정보를 분리 수신할 수 있다.
이때, 효과적인 수신을 위해 해당 QoS 등급에 필요로 하는 영상 정보를 나누어 수신함으로써 QoS 보정에 따른 비용을 최소화할 수 있다.
도 2는 본 발명의 일실시예에 있어서, QoS 보장을 위한 비디오 스트림 전송 구조를 도시한 도면이다.
도 2를 참고하면, 효과적인 비디오(Video) 정보 보상을 위해서 인코더(Encoder) 수준에서 HEVC를 이용해 분리된 형태의 비디오(Video) 정보가 구성될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 하나의 비디오 스트림을 FHD, UHD 60 fps, UHD 120 fps 등 Multi-profile로 구성할 수 있다.
다시 도 2를 참고하면, 브로드캐스트 신호 세기(Broadcast Signal Strength)를 기반으로 QoS 보장 여부 판단할 수 있다. 그리고, 신호 세기(Signal Strength)가 약해지면 임계치에 도달하기 이전에 브로드밴드(Broadband)를 이용해 필요한 프로파일 스트림(profile stream)을 수신할 수 있다. 브로드캐스트(Broadband)만을 이용해 QoS를 충족해야 하는 경우에는 정책(Policy) 기반으로 선택 가능하여야 하며, 이때 비디오 데이터 번들링(Video Data Bundling)이 수행될 수 있다. 브로드캐스트 및 브로드밴드 신호(Broadcast/broadband signal)가 모두 약해 QoS를 보장할 수 없는 경우, ABR을 통해 화질을 저하시킬 수도 있다.
개별 Stream URL의 경우, channel(Streams) 생성 시 서버(Signaling Server)측에서 생성 및 할당 후, 어셋(Asset) 정보에 미리 삽입해, 브로드캐스트(Broadcast)를 기반으로도 동일 채널(channel)의 멀티 프로파일(multi-profile)에 따른 스트림(stream) 접속 URL을 획득할 수 있다.

Claims (3)

  1. 하이브리드 브로드캐스트 브로드밴드(Hybrid Broadcast/Broadband) 네트워크에서의 QoS(Quality of Service) 보장 방법에 있어서,
    브로드캐스트 신호의 세기에 기초하여 QoS 보장 여부를 판단하는 단계; 및
    상기 판단을 기반으로 QoS 보장 등급에 따라 브로드밴드로부터 필요한 대역의 정보를 분리 수신하는 단계
    를 포함하는 QoS 보장 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 수신하는 단계는,
    상기 브로드캐스트 신호의 세기가 이전에 수신된 브로드캐스트 신호의 세기보다 상대 적으로 약해지면, 상기 브로드캐스트 신호의 세기가 미리 정의된 임계값에 도달하기 이전에 상기 브로드밴드를 통해 프로파일 스트림(profile sream)을 수신하는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 QoS 보장 방법.
  3. 제1항에 있어서,
    상기 수신하는 단계는,
    상기 브로드캐스트 신호의 세기 및 브로드밴드를 통해 수신된 신호의 세기가 각각에 해당하는 임계값 이하로 약해지는 경우, 해상도를 상대적으로 저하시킨 신호를 수신하는 것
    을 특징으로 하는 QoS 보장 방법.
