Abstract

A scroll compressor according to the present invention includes: a casing having a suction pipe and a discharge pipe; a drive unit having a stator, a rotor, and a rotating shaft connected to the rotor; a first scroll positioned to be fixed inside the casing; a second scroll forming first and second compression chambers connected to the rotating shaft and rotated in engagement with the first scroll to allow a suction refrigerant flowing into a suction port to be sucked at positions spaced apart from each other with the rotation shaft interposed therebetween, respectively; and first and second injection passages passing through the first scroll so that an injection refrigerant having higher pressure than that of the suction refrigerant is injected into the first and second compression chambers. Accordingly, refrigerant at a constant intermediate pressure is injected into a symmetrical scroll compressor, so that a state of a discharged refrigerant is accurately varied.
