아이들이 밥을 먹을 때 밥이나 국, 컵의 온도가 어떠한지(뜨거운지, 차가운지)를 그 릇과 컵에 색(빨강, 주황, 노랑, 초록, 파랑)으로 온도를 표시해주는 것이다. 플라스 틱으로 만들어서 깨지지 않고, 부모님이 아이들의 밥 온도를 확인할 때 미지근하게 느껴지더라도 아이들에겐 뜨거울 수 있기 때문에 색으로 온도를 표시해주면 부모님 들은 색이 변하는 것을 보고 아이에게 먹일 때 안심하며 줄 수 있고, 밥을 잘 먹지 않는 아이들에게 그릇과 컵의 색깔이 바뀌는 것을 보여주며 어떤 온도에 따라 색이 변하는지에 대해 알려준다면 흥미를 가지고 관찰하며 즐겁게 먹을 수 있게 될 것이 다. 또, 부모님이 아이에게 온도에 따라 어떤 색인지 알려주고 주의시켜 준다면 아 이들이 그릇과 컵에 담긴 내용물을 함부로 잡거나 먹는 것을 방지해 주는 역할도 가능하다. 기존에 온도를 측정하여 검은색에서 흰색이 되는 컵과는 달리 그릇과 컵 의 표면에 여러 가지 색(빨강, 주황, 노랑, 초록, 파랑)으로 나타내주어 어느 정도의 온도인지 한눈에 알 수 있다.When children eat rice, the temperature of the rice, soup, or cup is indicated by the colors (red, orange, yellow, green, and blue) in the bowl and cup as to how the temperature is (hot or cold).
