Abstract
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention [0001] The present invention relates to a display device, and more particularly, to boldly omit a part of a case and / or a set cover structure which are considered essential components of a display product to reduce a thickness thereof, And a display device including the guide panel.
2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, various types of flat panel display devices capable of reducing weight and volume, which are disadvantages of cathode ray tubes (CRTs), have been developed. As a flat panel display device, a liquid crystal display device, a plasma display panel (PDP), a field emission display device, a light emitting display device and the like are actively studied However, the liquid crystal display device is in the spotlight due to the advantages of mass production technology, ease of driving means, and realization of high image quality.
In recent years, along with the research and development of the technical aspects of flat panel display devices, the necessity of research and development has been particularly emphasized in terms of the design of products that can appeal to consumers. Accordingly, efforts are being made to minimize the thickness of the display device (slimness), and there is a growing need for a design in which aesthetics that appeals to the aesthetic sense of a consumer and stimulates purchase are promoted.
However, the development of a design for slimming down or improving the beauty of the display device which has been performed so far has been proceeded by adopting a constituent element of a conventional display device as it is and changing the structure of its constituent elements, There is a certain limit in developing a slim design or a new design.
For example, in the case of a liquid crystal display device, in order to accommodate a display panel and a backlight unit in the past, a lower case and an upper case have been essentially used. In addition, a product such as a notebook, a monitor, A separate front set cover and rear set cover were additionally used. As described above, since the lower case and the upper case, as well as the front and rear set covers of the product, are essentially used, there has been a limitation in reducing the product thickness or changing the design of the liquid crystal display. In particular, since the upper case and the front set cover essentially cover the front edge of the display panel, the thickness of the liquid crystal display device must be increased thereby, and the edge width of the liquid crystal display device is increased. And is an obstacle to devising innovative designs.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and it is an object of the present invention to reduce the thickness of a case and / or a part of a set cover structure which are considered essential components of a display product, And a display device including the guide panel.

First, in manufacturing the
