Description
The present invention relates to a pallet MA packaging system and method, and more particularly to a packaging system and method for facilitating MA packaging using a pallet.
Agricultural products continue to age through respiration even after harvest. Accordingly, methods for reducing the rate of life activity in order to increase the storage period of agricultural products are being studied.
Generally, CA (Controlled Atmosphere) storage technology is a technology that can store oxygen for long time by reducing the oxygen concentration in the ambient air and increasing the carbon dioxide concentration in the reservoir at a low temperature to suppress the respiration of agricultural products. These technologies are currently being implemented in advanced countries, but they are not widely practiced in Korea due to high installation cost and high operation cost.
Unlike the CA storage method, the MA (Modified Atmosphere) packaging method is a method of storing agricultural products by packing the agricultural products in a plastic bag and lowering the oxygen concentration than the atmosphere. When the agricultural products are packed in vinyl, Oxygen is consumed and the concentration of carbon dioxide becomes high. These MA packaging methods have an active method of initially storing and storing the desired gas concentration, and there is a manual method of breathing agricultural products to change the gas concentration, which is currently being applied to agricultural products that are packaged and distributed. Since MA packages are generally used as individual units, there are many difficulties in terms of the cost of packaging and the process of packaging. However, if the pallet unit MA package is used, it is possible to utilize the existing low temperature reservoir as a CA reservoir without having to make the controller used in the CA storage method and the CA reservoir to use it.
However, in the conventional pallet MA storing method, a dedicated pallet must be purchased separately, since the connecting pallet must be directly attached to the dedicated pallet and the packaging film having grooves, and the cost is lost when the pallet can not be collected for export There is a problem.
