Description
The present invention relates to an asphalt modifier and a modified asphalt binder, and more particularly to a modifier and an asphalt binder composition which are added to improve physical properties of asphalt.
Generally, ascon is a mixture of asphalt, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, and filler (limestone powder, slaked lime, cement, etc.) and is widely used as a packaging material for road pavement and parking lot.
Such an ascon is a mixture of asphalt and aggregate and is called a hot mix asphalt because it is produced by heating them.
The asphalt pavement or the asphalt (asphalt concrete) produced by this process also have a severe behavior change due to the temperature change since the state of the asphalt changes with temperature. Due to these characteristics, asphalt pavement used for road pavement is plastically deformed due to ductility in the high temperature environment in summer and brittle cracking occurs in the low temperature environment in winter.
In addition, factors affecting fatigue cracking of asphalt pavement include many factors such as combination of pavement cross - sectional structure, physical properties of asphalt binder, aggregate physical properties and porosity, pavement structure and traffic. Among these elements, a general method for improving the resistance to fatigue cracking of asphalt pavement is to improve the physical properties of the asphalt binder.
One of the most commonly used methods of improving the physical properties of asphalt binders is to add modifiers to the asphalt binder. One of the main purposes of asphalt modifiers is to increase the resistance to permanent deformation at high temperatures without harming the properties of the asphalt at low temperatures.
As a conventional example of such an asphalt modifier, Patent Registration No. 835670 discloses a technique related to "asphalt modifier and thus a mixture of asphalt binder and asphalt. &Quot;
However, in the above-mentioned prior art, there is a problem that the viscosity of the modifier is relatively low, resistance to impact is weak, and crack resistance is weak.
It is an object of the present invention to provide a modifier having excellent viscosity and high elasticity to provide excellent modulus of resistance against impact and a mixture thereof.
To achieve the above object, the present invention provides a modifier for asphalt pavement plant mix type modifier comprising 25 to 35% by weight of a high molecular weight SBS having a molecular weight of 250,000 to 350,000, 10 to 30% by weight of a low molecular weight SBS having a molecular weight of 30,000 to 120,000, 3 to 10% by weight of the asphalt, 3 to 15% by weight of the asphalt, 2 to 12% by weight of the gillsonite, 1 to 4% by weight of the grahamite, 5 to 20% by weight of the petroleum resin and 0.1 to 3% .
The premix type modified asphalt binder of the present invention may further contain 1 to 15% by weight of high molecular weight SBS having a molecular weight of 250,000 to 350,000, 40 to 55% by weight of low molecular weight SBS having a molecular weight of 30,000 to 120,000, 5 to 15% A mixture of 3 to 15 wt% of asphalt, 2 to 12 wt% of ginsenosite, 10 to 20 wt% of a petroleum resin and 0.1 to 3 wt% of an antioxidant is mixed with an asphalt binder, and asphalt binders 80 to 95 And 5 to 20% by weight of the mixture is mixed in the weight%.
In the present invention, the modifier is mixed with asphalt to improve the viscosity of the asphalt, and exhibits an excellent crack resistance due to the strengthening of the elastic force when the impact is generated.
In particular, the premix-type modified asphalt binder to which such a modifier is added is mixed at the time of producing the ascon mixture, thereby achieving the effect of reducing the asphalt noise and increasing the drainage efficiency.
Hereinafter, a specific embodiment of the present invention will be described.
First, the composition of the plant mix type modifier for the double-layer low-noise drainable asphalt pavement in the present invention is 25 to 35% by weight of high molecular weight SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) having a molecular weight of 250,000 to 350,000, 10 to 30% by weight of SBS, 3 to 10% by weight of Portland cement, 3 to 15% by weight of bronze asphalt, 2 to 12% by weight of ginsenoside, 1 to 4% by weight of grahamite, 5 to 20% And 0.1 to 3% by weight of an inhibitor.
As an example, 30 wt% of high molecular weight SBS, 24 wt% of low molecular weight SBS, 10 wt% of Portland cement, 10 wt% of bronze asphalt, 10 wt% of gylonite, 3 wt% of grahamite, %, And the antioxidant is 3% by weight.
Further, in the case of the premix type, a mixture of 1 to 15 wt% of a high molecular weight SBS having a molecular weight of 250,000 to 350,000, 40 to 55 wt% of a low molecular weight SBS having a molecular weight of 30,000 to 120,000, 5 to 15 wt% of a sulfide, Wherein a mixture of 3 to 15 wt% of ginsenoside, 2 to 12 wt% of ginsenoside, 10 to 20 wt% of petroleum resin and 0.1 to 3 wt% of antioxidant is mixed with asphalt binder, 3 to 20% by weight of the mixture is preferably mixed.
The premix type asphalt binder of the present invention to which such a plant mix type modifier is added is mixed with asphalt to form a double layer low noise drainable asphalt composition comprising an upper layer and a lower layer.
That is, as a first embodiment of the multiple-layer low-noise drainable asphalt composition of the present invention, the lower layer is composed of 80 to 95% by weight of a coarse aggregate having a particle diameter of 10 to 20 mm, 1 to 15% by weight of a fine aggregate having a particle diameter of 6 mm or less, By weight, 3 to 8% by weight of asphalt, and 0.15 to 1.6% by weight of the plant mix type modifier.
The upper layer contains 80 to 95% by weight of coarse aggregate having a particle diameter of 5 to 10 mm, 1 to 15% by weight of fine aggregate having a particle diameter of 6 mm or less, 2 to 10% by weight of calcined or slaked lime, 3 to 8% by weight of asphalt, To 1.6% by weight.
Since the high molecular weight and the low molecular weight SBS are mixed in an appropriate ratio to the asphalt modifier, the high-temperature and low-temperature performance of the multi-layer low-noise drainable asphalt composition of the present invention having such composition is improved when mixed with asphalt.
Particularly, the viscosity of the asphalt mixed with the Portland cement mixed with the modifier is improved, and the asphalt of the bronze has a small heat resistance, humidity-sensitive elongation, thus securing long-term commonality.
In addition, Gilsonite has a high resistance to impact by imparting high elasticity function of asphalt and has an advantage of excellent crack resistance due to elastic force.
In addition, grahamite has the advantage of being able to disperse quickly as a dissolution catalyst.
In the second embodiment of the present invention, the lower layer comprises 80 to 95% by weight of a coarse aggregate having a particle size of 10 to 20 mm, 1 to 15% by weight of fine aggregate having a particle size of 6 mm or less, 2 to 10% by weight of a limestone or slaked lime, Wherein the upper layer comprises 80 to 95% by weight of a coarse aggregate having a particle diameter of 5 to 10 mm, 1 to 15% by weight of a fine aggregate having a particle diameter of 6 mm or less, 2 to 10% by weight of a limestone or slaked lime % Of the pre-mix type modified asphalt binder, and 3.5 to 8 wt% of the premix type modified asphalt binder.
Although specific embodiments of the present invention have been described and illustrated above, it is to be understood that the modifier and asphalt binder composition of the present invention can be variously modified by those skilled in the art.
It should be understood, however, that such modified embodiments should not be understood individually from the spirit and scope of the invention, and such modified embodiments are intended to be included within the scope of the appended claims.
