The present invention relates to an attendance management system and method, and more particularly, to a attendance management system and method in which a student attends an attendance check by himself / herself using an application installed in his / her terminal device.
Several lecture support systems are being studied to improve learning efficiency. Among them, attendance system research to automate the entire process of attendance processing and management is one of the important issues.
Recently, researches are being conducted to automatically manage the attendance of students using biometric technology such as RFID, label, card, and fingerprint recognition and face recognition. However, in order to construct such an automated attendance system, expensive equipment such as an RFID reader and a fingerprint reader are required, and the initial installation cost is increased, and a problem of management due to substitute attendance using a card rental and a photograph is found.
Meanwhile, a method of managing attendance using applications of a smart phone is widely used. The method of using the application of this smartphone is mainly used when the instructor confirms the student and touches the name of the student to notify the attendance.
