Abstract
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention [0002] The present invention relates to a position recognition apparatus and method, and more particularly, to a position recognition apparatus and method using a radio signal generator for transmitting a short-range wireless signal.
There are various services using indoor and outdoor location information. Also, the demand for services related to location will continue to increase. In this case, the resolution of the position coordinate is precise and the time required to calculate the position is fast so that the service can be provided through various applications.
A GPS (Global Positioning System) satellite method is well known as the current location recognition technology. The satellite signals sent by GPS satellites include the position of the satellites and the time of flight of the satellites. The position recognition system using GPS satellites calculates the position coordinates of the measurement object using data of satellite signals received from four or more satellites. Such a position recognition system is available where it can receive satellite signals of GPS satellites.
Another known location recognition technique is to use a signal arriving at a mobile communication base station. This method calculates the position of the measurement object using techniques such as Angle Of Arrival (AOA), Time of Arrival (TOA), Time Difference Of Arrival (TDOA) do.
There is also a method of recognizing the strength of a signal received from a WiFi-AP (Access Point) of a wireless LAN installed in the office environment or a fingerprint using a fingerprint.
Such position recognition techniques are difficult to use in cases where the recognition time required for the position recognition needs to be fast or the position accuracy is required.
On the other hand, in order to compensate for the accuracy of the position, a method of combining the above-mentioned position recognition technologies has been attempted.
A problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a position recognition apparatus and a method capable of providing quick and precise position information as compared with a method using a GPS or a mobile communication base station.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for recognizing a position of a position recognition apparatus is provided. A method of recognizing a position includes the steps of receiving a radio signal from two radio signal generators connected by a cable and maintaining a predetermined distance, receiving a radio signal from each of the two radio signal generators And obtaining a current position using the difference between the calculated distances from the two radio signal generators and the distance between the two radio signal generators.
According to the embodiment of the present invention, by calculating the position coordinates using only two radio signal generators for transmitting the radio signal, it is possible to use it when it is necessary to take time to grasp the position or to request the precise position, It is available.
Also, the wireless signal generator can be robust against environmental changes by using multiple antennas.
Further, the position recognition support system according to the embodiment of the present invention calculates position coordinates using a situation where a cable is connected between two radio signal generators and maintains a certain distance, thereby correcting the influence of the temperature and humidity of the radio wave propagating space by itself There is also an advantage of having an environment to do.
