Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to an apparatus for inspecting a battery pack, and more particularly, to a battery pack inspecting apparatus for detecting voltage and current of a plurality of battery packs, Voltage and current values to a central control unit to process the battery pack efficiently and economically.
2. Description of the Related Art [0002] With the recent development of semiconductor devices and technologies related to small-sized electronic devices, technologies for mobile devices such as portable computers, video cameras, digital cameras, and cellular phones are rapidly advancing.
Examples of the rechargeable battery used in various mobile devices include a lithium ion battery, a nickel-hydride battery, a nickel-cadmium battery, and a lead battery using an oxidation-reduction reaction of lithium.
In the manufacturing process of various batteries as described above, the capacity of the finally assembled battery is detected to judge the quantity / defect of the product.
In the case of a lithium battery which is normally assembled, the battery is transferred to a measuring terminal for measuring the capacity of the battery by the conveyor belt, and a plurality of measuring terminals are connected to the terminal of the battery to measure the capacity. It is loaded into the loading box and discharged.
However, in the conventional battery inspecting apparatus, expensive measuring instruments are individually installed on each conveyor belt to which the battery pack is to be conveyed, and the capacity of the conveyed battery pack is inspected.
Thus, the total installation cost for the battery pack inspection is increased, and the manpower for the management and monitoring of each measuring instrument is respectively disposed, which is a major cause of an increase in facility scale and an increase in equipment cost for the whole battery pack inspection.
