Description

Cap Assembly {Cap Assembly}

The present invention relates to a bottle, and more particularly to a combination cap assembly.

The container includes an opening through which the interior is filled with liquid. There are various containers such as bottles and cups. The bottle is often used with a lid to hold the liquid inside. There are various ways to keep the lid on the bottle. For example, the lid includes a thread and the bottle contains a corresponding thread. The thread is fastened so that the lid closes the bottle and keeps the liquid in the bottle. The thread causes the lid to separate from the bottle and allow the user to drink from the bottle. The user must rotate the lid against the bottle to fasten or separate the threads. However, rotating the lid relative to the bottle is inconvenient, especially when the user is only able to use one hand.

As described in CN 201986922, the lid is formed with a thread to be fastened by a thread formed on the bottle. However, the lid further includes a mouthpiece (mouthpiece) and an ancillary cap for covering the mouthpiece.

Thus, the present invention is intended to eliminate or at least alleviate the problems encountered in the prior art.

The main purpose of the present invention is to provide a cup assembly for a bottle or cup.

To achieve the above object, the cap assembly includes a cup pivoted to a lid between a closed position and an open position. The lid includes a mouthpiece including a collar for engagement by an open end of the container, a disc formed over the collar, a chamber within the disc and the disc, and an outlet extending from the disc and in communication with the chamber. The cap includes a buckle for fastening by a lid to hold the cap in a closed position. The cap closes the mouthpiece and there is a space between the cap and the disk of the lid. The cap is pivotally connected to the open position and can be detached from the lid when the buckle is pivotally connected. The cap releases the mouthpiece away from the disk of the lid when the lid is in the open position.

Other objects, advantages and features of the present invention will become apparent from the detailed description provided with reference to the accompanying drawings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The present invention is illustrated by the detailed description of two embodiments with reference to the drawings.
1 is a perspective view of a cap assembly according to a first embodiment of the present invention;
Figure 2 is a top view of the cap assembly shown in Figure 1;
Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view of the cap assembly shown in Figure 1;
Figure 4 is a perspective view of the cap assembly at a different location than that shown in Figure 1;
Figure 5 is a cross-sectional view of the cap assembly of Figure 4; And
6 is a perspective view of a cap assembly according to a second embodiment of the present invention;

Referring to Figs. 1 to 5, a cap assembly 10 according to a first embodiment of the present invention is provided. The cap assembly 10 may be used for a bottle or a cup.

The cap assembly 10 includes a lid 20, a cap 40, and a spring 30. The cap 40 is pivotally connected to a lid 20 between an open position as shown in Figures 1-3 and a closed position as shown in Figures 4 and 5. The spring 30 is used to pivot the cap 40 into the open position from the closing position.

The lid 20 comprises a collar 21 and a disc 23 formed on the collar 21. The collar 21 and the disc 23 together define a chamber 24 for receiving the open upper end of the bottle or cup. The collar 21 includes a thread 22 formed on the inner surface. The thread 22 can be fastened by a thread formed on a bottle or cup near the open upper end.

The mouthpiece 25 is formed on the disk 23 of the lid 20 and the two lugs 29 are also the same. The mouthpiece 25 is a tubular portion of appropriate height. The mouthpiece 25 is located near the end of the diameter of the disk 23 and the lug 29 is located near the other end of the diameter of the disk 23. The lugs 29 are separated by a gap (no number). A hole 27 is formed in the disk 23 of the lid 20 and two grooves 31 are also formed. The hole 27 communicates with the chamber 24 of the lid 20. The hole 27 is located in one direction between the mouthpiece 25 and the lug 29. The holes 27 are located between the grooves 31 in different directions.

An outlet (26) is made in the mouthpiece (25). The outlet (26) communicates with the chamber (24) of the lid (20). A protrusion 28 is formed on the mouthpiece 25. The protrusion 28 is preferably in the form of a barb. However, the protrusions 28 may be cubic in other embodiments.

The cap 40 includes a buckle 49 extending from the side of the lever 41 near the first end of the lever 41. The ring 45 extends from the side of the lever 41 near the buckle 49. The two lugs 42, the projections 43 and the plug 44 extend from the side of the lever 41 near the second end of the lever 41. The sealing lining (50) is inserted into the ring (45). The buckle 49 is made of a concave portion 47. The concave portion 47 is not blocked by the ring 45. The recess 47 has a shape that conforms to the projection 28. The two opposing slits 48 are made in the buckle 49 to improve the flexibility of the buckle 49 in the vicinity of the recess 47.

The cap 40 includes two parallel ribs 46 formed on the sides of the lever 41 to reinforce the cap 40. [ The lip 46 is manufactured to a smaller height than the buckle 49. Each lip 46 includes an end connected to the buckle 49 and another end connected to the corresponding lug 42. Each lug 42 is an annular element.

The spring 30 includes two spirals 34, two parallel legs 32, two parallel legs 36, and a transverse portion 38. Each spiral portion 34 is formed between the corresponding leg 32 and the corresponding leg 36. The transverse portion 38 is formed between the legs 36.

The pivot 12 is inserted into the lug 12, lug 42 and spiral 34 of the spring 30. Each leg 32 is inserted into a corresponding groove 31, i.e., the leg 32 is in contact with the lid 20. The legs 36 and transverse portions 38 contact the lid 20. The boss 43 is positioned between the legs 36 to limit lateral movement of the spring 30. The cap 40 is pivotally connected in the closed position and the spring 30 is loaded, i.e. the diameter of the spiral 34 is reduced. The spring 30 is prepared to pivotally connect to the position where the cap 40 is opened.

Referring to Figures 4 and 5, in the closed position, the cap 40 is positioned above the disc 23 of the lid 20. The ring 45 covers the dental mouthpiece 25. The sealing lining (50) covers the outlet (26) to prevent leakage and contamination. The projection 28 is inserted into the recess 47 of the buckle 49 to hold the cap 40 in a closed position. A space 52 is present between the cap 40 of the lid 20 and the disk 23 so that the cap assembly 10 is caught on the hook, for example.

The ring 45 covers the mouth 26 of the dental mouthpiece 25 and the plug 44 is inserted into the hole 27 of the lid 20. The plug 44 is conical in shape so that the plug 44 more tightly blocks the hole 27 as the plug 44 is further inserted into the hole 27.

The buckle 49 is wider than the mouthpiece 25 and is easily pivotally connected from the mouthpiece 25 to move the projection 28 out of the recess 47. The loaded spring 30 pivots the cap 40 at the open position where the outlet 26 of the mouthpiece 25 is ejected from the ring 45 from the disc 23 of the lid 20. [

Referring to Fig. 6, a cap assembly 10 according to a second embodiment of the present invention is provided. The second embodiment is the same as the first embodiment except that the cap 40 includes only one lip 46. The ribs 46 extend along the center line of the lever 41.

The cap 40 includes a plug 54 instead of a ring 45. When the cap 40 is in the closed position, the plug 54 is inserted into the outlet 26 of the dental mouthpiece 25.

The present invention has been described through the detailed description of this embodiment. Skilled artisans may derive modifications from the embodiments without departing from the scope of the present invention. Accordingly, the embodiments do not limit the scope of the present invention as defined in the claims.
