Abstract
Description
Field of the Invention [0002] The present invention relates to a localized pressurized wet type hyperthermia treatment apparatus, and more particularly, to a non-invasive physical therapy apparatus configured to locally shock or irritate a lesion site with a water pressure of a proper frequency to treat traumatic inflammation of the elbow.
Severe elbow trauma is present in 1% of the population, especially in the 30-50 age group. Several therapies have been developed for this purpose, and therapies that can be safely treated non-surgically are preferred. Previously, non-surgical treatments include plasma-rich platelets (aka PRP injections), steroid injections, and extracorporeal shock waves.
(Treatment of lateral epicondylitis with platelet-rich plasma, glucocorticoid, or saline: a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, AmJSportsMed , 2013, Vol.41; pp. 625-635), (Systematic review of the efficacy and safety of shock wave therapy for lateral elbow pain. JRheumatol , 2006, Vol.33; pp. 1351-1363).However, it has been reported that plasma intensive platelet injection and steroid injection therapy are not significantly different from those obtained by injection of simple saline during nonsurgical treatment (see Treatment of lateral epicondylitis with platelet-rich plasma, glucocorticoid, or saline: a randomized, double -blind, placebo-controlled trial, AmJSportsMed , 2013, Vol.41;. pp 625-635), ESWT has been reported that the clinical effect (Systematic review of the efficacy and safety of shock wave therapy for lateral elbow pain JRheumatol , 2006, Vol.33, pp. 1351-1363).
However, recently, extracorporeal shock wave therapy using ultrasound has appeared. However, these therapies do not have the effect of promoting blood circulation, which is a key requirement of healing the lesion site, because the lesion site is treated with impact only. In addition, since the equipment used for such treatment is expensive, there is a problem that the patient's economic burden is increased.
(The physiologic basis and clinical applications of cryotherapy and thermotherapy for the pain practitioner. PainPhysician , 2004, Vol.7; pp.395-399). Theoretically, the blood circulation in the lesion area can be promoted through the heat and cold, and the smooth metabolism of the lesion site can be performed, so that the damaged tissue can be more effectively restored (the physiologic basis and clinical applications of cryotherapy and thermotherapy for the pain practitioner. PainPhysician , 2004, Vol.7; pp. 395-399).
Conventionally, there is a case where treatment is performed by applying heat to a lesion site of a patient suffering from a traumatic affliction with therapeutic apparatuses using heat. In the case of a thermal therapy apparatus, heat is applied to the entire lesion region, Treatment is inefficient because of inadequate treatment, and simply applying heat does not provide effective treatment.
As mentioned above, there are various kinds of therapies for treating trauma, and therapies and equipments suitable for the therapies have been used. However, they are not economical or ineffective, and only the treatment effect can be seen only in the short term. There is a problem of not being able to stay for a long time. In order to effectively treat the lesion site, there is a need for a therapeutic apparatus for non-surgical treatment which utilizes hot and cold heat to promote blood circulation in a lesion site and to metabolize and apply appropriate shock.
Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a therapeutic device capable of effectively treating traumatic inflammation with low cost.
In addition, the present invention provides a therapeutic apparatus which can utilize warm and cold heat, and more accurately and effectively treat the lesion locally by impacting the lesion site.
In addition, it is a further object of the present invention to provide a treatment device with high efficiency in which all of the shape, temperature, position, pressure, and frequency of injection of a substance to be injected into a lesion region can be controlled.

BEST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION Hereinafter, an embodiment of a local pressurizing type wet thermal therapy apparatus according to the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. In this specification, the term "upper limb" refers to a part or all of the arm including the elbow.
First, the overall configuration of the localized pressurized type wet type thermal therapy apparatus will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3. FIG.
The localized pressurizing type wet thermal therapy apparatus includes a hollow
At this time, the
The
The
As described above, the
In addition, it is preferable that the material output from the
The
The
