Abstract
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a character input apparatus and method of a terminal, and more particularly to a method of inputting characters using a touch screen. The device for inputting characters through the touch screen in the terminal according to the present invention recognizes a dragging of a certain distance as a character input signal in addition to clicking on an input cell and inputting Korean characters, The present invention relates to a method of inputting characters using a touch screen, which can quickly and easily input characters by reducing the number of touch or drag operations.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE
Portable mobile phones, portable computers, navigation systems, and Bluetooth devices are mainly used, and most of them use input devices through a touch screen. Let's look at an example of a dual mobile phone (smartphone).
Recent smartphones include not only voice calls, but all the functions of a computer, and have a variety of application software and peripherals based on central processing units, memory devices, operating systems, and input / output devices.
Generally, smart phones input characters through a touch screen. Various devices and methods have been developed in the past. Most of them are inputting predetermined characters by touch or keyboard combination once or several times. In addition, there are several methods of inputting characters by dragging, but the effectiveness is not verified, so examples that are actually applied and used are extremely rare.
Korean Patent Laid-Open Publication No. 10-2008-0071523 (published on Aug. 8, 2008) is widely used in inputting Hangul characters, but the number of touches is too many, and it does not suggest any other method in English.
In the case of Korean Patent Laid-open Publication No. 10-2009-0116181 (published November 11, 2009), although the input method by dragging is suggested, since all of the initial, neutral, and trailing edges must be dragged once, attention should be paid so that the dragging section is long, There is a disadvantage that you need to be careful about it.
Thus, although there are character input methods using touch screens developed in the past as features of each type, there are disadvantages that it is difficult to apply to all characters such as Korean, English, numbers, symbols and other foreign languages. And the length of the drag is too long and complicated.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a method of quickly and accurately inputting characters by dividing a touch operation and a drag operation in the same button so that different characters are assigned to the same, thereby reducing the number of touches on the touch screen.
In order to achieve the above object, there is provided a method for inputting characters through a touch screen in a terminal, the method comprising: selecting a mode for selecting a type of a character to be input; setting one of the input keys to be selected in a predetermined time according to a click, a click, a drag, a drag and a drag, and a drag direction; A step of recognizing the clicks, the clicks, the clicks, the dragging, the dragging, the dragging, and the dragging directions so that the designated characters are displayed on the display window; And inputting the character string as a character or a single character.
According to the embodiment of the present invention, a plurality of characters displayed on each key are sequentially selected from a left side in accordance with a click, a click, a drag, a drag, and a drag.
According to another embodiment of the present invention, when selecting a vowel in a Hangul input, a positive vowel or a negative vowel is divided into a positive vowel or a negative vowel, and the direction of the drag So that each vowel is selected.
According to the present invention, it is possible to intuitively input characters by reducing the number of operations by touch or dragging, and by dragging in a direction the same as the direction of a stroke in which a character is written, a Korean vowel is input.
Further, in the present invention, not only Hangul but also a third character can be selected by a drag once even if 3 characters are assigned to one key. Therefore, So that characters can be input.
The present invention can use all characters in the world using a touch screen as a character input method for all small terminals.

Specific embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the tables or the accompanying drawings. In the following description of the present invention, a detailed description of known functions and configurations incorporated herein will be omitted when it may make the subject matter of the present invention rather unclear.
First, in order to facilitate understanding, the terminal will describe an example of inputting Hangul characters using a touch screen on a smart phone. The touch screen of the smartphone is designed to display a minimum number of keys on the touch screen and allow selection of a plurality of characters in one key in order to facilitate character input.
In the first embodiment of the present invention, a character key corresponding to a basic character unit input in advance and a function key for changing the type of a character corresponding to each character are input. To enter Hangul, select Hangul input mode. Then, the Hangul input key pre-assigned to each key as shown in <Table 1> is displayed on the touch screen. However, the character assignment of each key shown in Table 1 is only an example, and character assignment can be made by other keys as shown in <Table 2> and <Table 3>.
1 is an example of a keyboard when a Korean input board is selected from a character input key screen of a smartphone touch screen
2 shows an example of a range in which a drag direction is recognized when a drag is performed.
The user typically clicks or drags the input key with a finger, touch pan, etc. to select the character. For character selection, a predetermined character is selected for a predetermined signal for each key.
First, in FIG. 1, the Korean consonant (103) is selected by clicking the previous letter "c" when double-clicking, and "ㄸ" is selected by double-clicking the character.
If only three characters are designated (104), the character is displayed in the character display window by clicking the first letter "i" when one click is made, "ㅉ" when the second letter is clicked, and when the predetermined length is dragged in any direction.
To enter a vowel, click or drag the vowel key in Figure 1 (101), (102), where the positive vowels (a, ㅑ, ㅗ, ㅠ, ㅓ, ㅕ) and "ㅣ" use the key (102).
First, in order to input "a", touch the (101) key in FIG. 1 like the stroke of the character and drag in the direction of (111) in FIG. To enter "ㅑ", drag it twice in succession. To enter "ㅡ", click (101) once.
Next, in order to input "ㅗ", touch the 1 (101) key as in the case of a stroke, and drag in the direction of (112) in FIG. To enter "ㅛ", drag it twice in succession.
Next, in order to input "ㅓ", touch the key of 1 (102) as in the case of a stroke of a character, and drag in the direction of (111) in FIG. To enter "ㅕ", drag it twice in succession. To enter "ㅣ", click (101) once.
Next, in order to input "ㅜ", the user drags in the direction of (112) in FIG. 2 by touching the key 1 (102) as the stroke of the character. To enter "ㅠ", drag it twice in succession.
Let's take a look at an example of typing actual letters to help you understand.

In the second embodiment of the present invention, when the consonant 105 is input in the first embodiment, the first character is selected by clicking and the second character is selected by dragging. In the second embodiment, As shown in FIG. The remaining vowel characters are the same as in the first embodiment.
Then, I will explain the second part of inputting the actual letters to help you understand.

Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described above, the scope of the present invention is not limited to these embodiments. In order to facilitate understanding of the present invention, Hangul input has been described as an example, and it can be applied to characters, symbols, numbers, etc. other than those shown in FIGS. 1, 2, and 3 within the same range as the object There will be. Therefore, the scope of the present invention should not be limited by the examples but should be determined by the equivalents of the claims and the claims.
