The present invention relates to a high-quality DTV broadcasting service method using a conventional dual stream based 3D broadcasting system.

A dual stream based 3DTV broadcasting system can provide a digital broadcasting service that has twice the image quality of the current DTV broadcasting service without any modification, thereby enabling viewers to receive a further improved high-definition DTV service.

The present invention is applied not only to an independent dual encoder applied to provide a 3DTV service but also to an encoder such as MVC (Multi-View Coding).
In an embodiment, when 3D broadcasting is applied using MVC, the left and right images are encoded into 50i or 60i, and odd (even) and even (odd) By inputting, 3DTV can watch video with twice the image quality than existing DTV.
