Description
More particularly, the present invention relates to a connector for connecting two optical cables to each other to prevent a flow of the optical cable connecting portion from a physical external force generated from the outside to maintain a precise alignment state , And an optical cable connector holder for enabling good communication.
In the Internet communication and various electronic industries, the transmission method using the optical fiber is more useful for high speed data transmission than the conventional method using a conductor such as copper, and the transmission efficiency is also high. In addition, since the transmitted optical signal is not sensitive to the electromagnetic field and the quality degradation characteristic is low, the transmission method using the optical fiber is widely adopted.
An example of transmission using optical fiber is an FTTH system that provides optical cable connection by providing various information including broadcasting and Internet communication to a home. In such a system, an optical cable for communication is connected in such a manner that two optical cables are connected and extended as necessary, or an optical connector is assembled to the end of the optical cable and connected to an optical terminal box.
1 is a view for explaining a connection structure of a conventional optical cable connector. A
However, in the method in which the connector is simply inserted into the adapter and the connection is maintained, an impact is applied due to the unavoidable force acting on the optical cable and the connector, and flow occurs in the connected state, thereby forming a fine clearance between the optical cables. In this case, alignment of the core wires of the optical cable is shifted, resulting in a defect that the data rate is lowered.
In accordance with this problem, the Korean Registered Utility Model No. 20-0361258 (filed on August 30, 2004, cable holder of the optical cable connector) is detachably connected to the connector body and comprises a base and a cover which are vertically coupled, A first protrusion is protruded from the bottom surface of the first guide groove and a second guide groove is formed in the cover so as to face the first guide groove, The present invention proposes a cable holder for an optical cable connector in which an outer protective cover is clipped by the first protrusion to prevent the outer protective cover from being separated by the first protrusion. However, as a function of fixing the protective cover by clipping, So that there is a limit to maintaining the alignment state.
The present invention has been made to solve the above problems of the prior art and it is an object of the present invention to provide an optical cable connector capable of maintaining a close state of an optical cable from an impact generated from the outside through a simple fastening, Holder.
Another object of the present invention is to fasten the protection cover for blocking the external force applied to the connector by a simple coupling operation so that the protection cover can be easily separated as needed.
In order to achieve the above object, an optical fiber connector holder according to the present invention includes a protective cover formed to surround a part of a core wire boot, an optical cable connector, and a part of an adapter to which the connector is fastened; And an expansion frame coupled to surround the adapter and coupling the protective cover and the adapter to each other.
Here, the extension frame may be formed of an elastic material, and may include a protrusion that is fastened to a locking end formed inside the protective cover.
The protective cover may be provided with a separating hole to press the protrusion when separating the adapter and the protective cover fastened through the extension frame.
In addition, the protective cover may be configured such that one side thereof is opened to receive the adapter with which the connector is fastened, and the other side thereof is formed with a through hole so that the boot can be inserted and passed therethrough.
Here, the protective cover is formed along the longitudinal direction of the protective cover and is formed with a coupling hole through which the core wire and the boot are inserted. The coupling hole has a large width at the side where the adapter is fastened, And a sloped incision surface so that the width at the opposite side is narrow.
According to the present invention having the above-described configuration, since the external force generated in the periphery of the connector is blocked by the protective cover that houses the connector and a part of the boot, it is possible to prevent the clearance that may occur in the connection between the two optical cables, .
In addition, according to the present invention, the adapter is provided with an insertion groove capable of seating an extension frame made of an elastic member to fasten the protection cover in a state of preventing the expansion frame from flowing, The connector can be protected.
Further, since the adapter and the protective cover are fastened to each other using the extended frame, the fastening structure is simpler than in the prior art, thereby reducing manufacturing costs and shortening the assembling process.
